they really never seem to keep their word. last year they were all "Oh sure, go, carry on" when i brought up the subject of taking on a new language.

this time, my dad went back on his word and refused to let me take the course!

ok probably he was shocked by the fees..

but he said something like "taking French now has no practical use blah blah blah...i'd rather you take Malay because next time when we go to Malaysia you can help me..."

i was really like "WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT" in my mind. 

basically, he refuses to let me take up French.

although they put there that conditions apply and that i think there may be exceptions..
